Spread a Little Happiness 2 x

Hi, everyone

Apologies for not posting all things happy last month, but I’ve been so busy with work you wouldn’t believe. That’s not a complaint, by the way. Busy is good.

So, what has made me happy in the last two months?

Well, firstly and on a personal note, we’ve made the momentous decision to sell our gorgeous little home in France and move to Ireland. Having been here for six years, we’ve decided it’s time for a new adventure; new adventures being something that always make me happy. Of course, if you know of anyone in the market for a French escape, please feel free to pass on details. We’ve had a great life here and know that whoever becomes Les Petite Forge’s new custodian will love it as much as we have.

Another thing that has made me happy in the last few weeks is how busy I’ve been on the work front. Most of it has been to do with marketing and promotion and as a result, I’ll be in the UK for the whole of December through to the beginning of January. I’ll be hosting a wonderful book launch, undertaking book signings, I have a reader meet-up in place, and will be visiting a brand new book club who’ve chosen Six Steps to Happiness as one of their group reads. If any of you are around when these events take place, please come and say hello. Friendly faces are always welcome.

I have to admit that it hasn’t been all work and nothing else recently. I have made time to enjoy a bit of sewing and, despite being new to this creative pursuit, I’ve only gone and made myself a dress, something that’s made me very happy. I had intended to wear it to the Romantic Novelists Association Winter party that’s coming up, but the jury is still out as to whether I will or not. Still, a dress… get me!

At the end of October we went to a Halloween party which was great fun. The party hosts really went to town on the decorations, even setting up a mock graveyard in their garden. Their were mannequin zombies positioned throughout the rooms, fake cockroaches on the floor, and the costumes people donned were fab. It was lovely to catch up with friends old and make friends new. You probably think me boring when I tell I didn’t get dressed up for the night, but I can’t do face paint. My skin wouldn’t thank me for it.

Yes, I did have a little too much to drink, before you ask!

Now I’ve shared some of things that have made me happy, it’s over to you. What things have made you smile recently?

Until next time x
